Welcome to historic St Mary's Church situated in Newchurch in Pendle, near Pendle Hill.
St Mary's is a family church in the centre of the heart of Pendle. Located in the small village of Newchurch in Pendle it serves Roughlee, Barley and numerous hamlets in between. It has a rich history dating back to 1250 AD.
Services
are held every
Sunday at 9:30 am. We hold various services including Family, Book
of Common Prayer
and Common Worship. Everyone is welcome. Other events are
held
throughout the year including the traditional rush bearing and crowning
of the
rush bearing queen. Please see Special

Our church is open from dawn to dusk every weekend and also throughout the Spring and Summer time (31st March to 31st Oct). Please feel free to visit our church for prayer or just for a moment's peace and reflection.
