Our pews date from the internal restoration of the church in 1901. They could be described as Victorian functional, or put another way not very comfortable by modern standards. Members of the church and local community made the kneelers in 1994 to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the consecration of St. Mary’s Church. The pew runners were made for the Millennium.
The kneelers represent many different themes, as can be seen in these images. If you visit church do take time to have a look.
