The church porch is of classic Georgian style. It was rebuilt in 1749 because the previous porch was found to be unsafe.
The porch is well used. Here it is decorated for a wedding.
Here the stone seat that has given rest to many a weary traveller is decorated for our Flower Festival.
Our sundial, which despite Pendle weather has been know to work on some days, can be seen just to the left of the clock face. It will depend on whether it is Greenwich Meantime or British Summertime as to just how accurate it is, as we do not adjust it when the clocks go back or forward.
The sundial is dated 1718 and has the initials H.P., C.B., I.B. and I.V. engraved on it.
